After being seated we waited 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I got up and asked the waitress if we could at least get some water which she handed a pitcher to me and said with an attitude "I'll be right over". When she finally came over she rushed us through ordering and it definitely showed that she wasn't paying attention because she got our order wrong. My coworker ordered a burger (north by northwest) with mushroom, onions, and cheddar cheese but got a burger (the heat wave) with jalapeños, anaheims, habanero aioli and pepper jack cheese. She didn't say anything about the order being wrong cause we had to get back to work after waiting so long for our food in the first place. The burger was so spicy and she only had one glass of water to wash it down with cause the waitress never offered us more water. The fries were great, the burger was ok, and the blue cheese dressing on my salad was horrible. I won't go back.

Food is quite pricey and quality not that great. Maybe it was an off day? $11 for a mushy burger on a not so good bun. Fries weren't cooked all the way through either. No drink included.

I stopped at Cafe Wave early this morning when dropping off my husband at the front runner station. He said it was new and hadn't checked it out yet, so I decided to stop in. I am a big fan of non-chain restaurants/local small business, and after moving from California a little over two years ago I have found that those restaurants are harder to come by in Utah. I already had picked up my morning coffee so I stopped in to check out what they had for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised when looking over their menu. They not only offer breakfast, but lunch, dinner, dessert, pastries, coffee drinks, beer, wine... A full menu. I ordered the Wave-o ranchero... Pretty clever name ;) (see attached photo). They offered several different kinds of bread to choose from (sourdough, gluten free, croissants, bagels... to name a few) so I asked what he recommended it on, to which he suggested sourdough. It was very good, and a large portion. The black bean salsa was nice, and the chipotle sour cream was delicious. Not too spicy either, but a lot of flavor. The breakfast potatoes were pretty standard, not much different than I have seen at most places... But still delicious. They just opened a couple of days ago so at the time of my visit I could tell that they were still getting set up with the final touches. The pastry case up front was pretty empty, but my guess is that it will get filled once they are completely up and running. Overall, I am really excited to see a new small business open up not too far away from home. I would like to come back for lunch and/or dinner to check it out. For now I am rating Cafe Wave a 4 until I try their lunch/dinner menu. However from the breakfast sandwich I had, it was great!

Just left Cafe Wave and I have one word for this restaurant: AMAZING...from the food to the service! The owner is also very nice and seems to take great pride in his restaurant! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the food so much that it was the first time in a long time that we finished everything on our plate. We will for sure be coming back to this awesome cafe!

We arrived at 11:45, ahead of the lunch rush. We got menus right away, but it took ten minutes to get water and orders taken. Food finally arrived at 12:24. Only one waitress for a cafe full of people. The food was good, but not outstanding - more bread than filling on my turkey sandwich and my husband's fries were lukewarm (maybe because of the long wait?) We probably won't go back. There are several other burger and sandwich joints nearby.

What a great surprise finding this place was. Didn't know there was even a restaurant around this place. The owner was very welcoming and all of the fresh ingredients made the food amazing. Wanted my sandwich a little different and the chef made me something completely custom. So nice.

The food is good but overpriced. It is always empty which is never a good sign. I hit sweet potato fries and they were way over salted. I waited more than 10 minutes for it and still I had to ask them if my order was ready. The owner told me it was a rough day for them, not information a customer needs or should know.

Am very happy with this spot. It's right across from my hotel and has good vegetarian food. Fresh, delicious. I had super food salad and liked it a lot. Now trying black bean burger tonight. Worth trying it out for sure.

The food is really good, wide selection of options to choose from, and its always fresh. They have changed there hours to 10-7pm which is alright but I'd rather have them open earlier. They need to update their yelp page to say 10-7 instead of 7-7. I am bumping there stars up to 3 now that I know there new hours. Still some issues regardless.

I've worked across the street on and off for two years now, I was sad to see Boston go but was interested when this place moved in; thought I'd give it a chance. First that caught my eye where the prices, which are higher than you'd expect going into a place like this. I went with a the Bacon Bleu burger and a pastry. The portion was a little but bigger than normal but the taste of both the burger and pastry were bland and lack luster. For the price I was really expecting more. The service was just ok but felt like I was getting attitude. This is a new restaurant and I guess we'll see how long they last like this. My bet is not very long. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere for food.

I work close by and tried it for lunch. The service was a little slow but it was pretty busy as well for the lunch rush. Once the food came out, I forgot about how slow the service was. I got the braised beef melt which was delicious. I got a half and it was a good sized sandwich. The sweet potato fries were also yummy. I will definitely be back. The prices are reasonable and I love that there is a non-franchise place close by my office.

Work nearby, have been here for lunch 5+ times. The sandwiches are creative; great flavors and presentation. Lemon chicken soup is great! Fries (regular and sweet potato) are yummy.

Wow, what an awesome experience! Food was FRESH, TASTY, and I didn't have to wait long at all. Not to say that was because I got there before the lunch rush started, but because there were so many flavors involved. The menu has a lot of depth. Wait staff was engaging and pleasant, it made me feel as though I was customer number 1 without being overly attentive. Kid friendly too! If you consider spicy as a flavor, then this is your place!
